Western Australia green LOHC demonstration project

Indicative project timeline

A 1,000 tpa H2 LOHC Collector Plant supplied by Hynertech. H2 from a 10MW PEM electrolyser:

Located within the Oakajee Strategic Industrial Area (OSIA) on the mid-west coast of Western Australia.

  • Aiming to service the mid-west mining industry initially through the supply of stationary fuel cells for power generation into microgrids.
  • Allows for mine sites to introduce hydrogen onto the site.
LOHC supply chain is immediately scalable to meet growth subject to green hydrogen production capacity.
  • Looking to purchase Hydrogen from OSIA participants and other producers in the region.
  • Looking to demonstrate the use of LOHC as Hydrogen buffer storage technology for green chemical processes such as green ammonia and green steel.
